Support : Acacia

What does Acacia do?

Acacia provides telephone support and a weekly befriending service for mothers and their families affected by pre or post natal depression across North Birmingham. Whatever you're going through and however you're feeling, whether it's big or small we are here to help you and your family cope with postnatal depression.

Based in Walmley, Sutton Coldfield since 2004, and now with two additional support centres in Kingstanding and Saltley, Birmingham, we offer weekly postnatal services in  calm, private and non judgemental environments that allow Mum and Dad to talk at ease with a trained befriender. Our face to face services offer a listening ear within the strictest of confidential boundaries.

Acacia is run and staffed by women and volunteers who have themselves suffered and recovered from postnatal depression.

When is Acacia taking place?

Acacia usually takes place at St John's on Thursday mornings. Please see the Church Centre Diary for up to date information. To find out more about Acacia and about our other support centres please visit the Acacia website.
